Stephen Bull B.A.,
LL.B.
Stephen was admitted as a solicitor in
1991 and has a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts from the
University of Sydney and a post graduate qualification in
International Law from the Australian National University.
Stephen is also admitted to practice in the Australian Capital
Territory and before the High Court of Australia.
Stephen is accredited through the Law
Society of New South Wales as a specialist criminal
lawyer.
Stephen writes regularly on criminal law
topics in a variety of publications and presents continuing
legal education seminars to fellow practitioners on criminal
law topics. Stephen has a strong background as a criminal law
advocate and government law specialist.
Stephen has extensive experience with
drug crime having worked as a senior lawyer with the Sydney
office of the Commonwealth DPP. Recently, Stephen
obtained an acquittal on all charges for a client in a jury
trial in the District Court in relation to an indictable
amount of MDMA (ecstasy).
Good communication is critical. Stephen
believes in ensuring that clients are well informed about what
is happening in their matter and kept up to date in relation
to costs. Stephen is aware that cost is an important
consideration and will give a realistic estimate of
costs at the commencement of your matter and adhere to
it.
Alex Maroulis LL.B.
Alex has a Bachelor of Law degree from
the University of Adelaide, and was originally admitted as a
legal practitioner in South Australia in 1983.
Alex has extensive experience in
Commonwealth and Criminal law. In Sydney, he was a
Principal Legal Officer with the Commonwealth Director of
Public Prosecutions, having conduct of the major prosecutions
of the Office. Alex had conduct of the largest tax
evasion prosecutions at that time, one of the "bottom of the
harbour" cases. One of Alex's key strengths is his
ability to analyse complex information and make strategic
decisions that result in a positive outcome for clients.
In the 14 years Alex has been a legal
practitioner Alex has become a highly skilled advocate and
conducts most of his own court appearances.
Alex speaks conversational Greek.
Arul Niles LL.M.
Arul has a master degree from the
University of Sydney and is an accomplished practitioner with
over 15 years experience in complex commercial and general
litigation in both the private and government sectors.
He has had the conduct of matters in the High Court, Federal
Court, Supreme Court, Local Court and the Industrial Relations
Commission.
He is an extremely competent legal
professional who can capably acquit himself in most areas of
